In honor of our son Gabriel Joseph Ogle...
Babies are too often born prematurely. They come too soon, too small, and often sick. Families need support as their child is taken care of by the nurses in the NICU (newborn intensive care unit).
I am walking for March of Dimes in remembrance of Gabriel. Gabriel was born on March 10th, 2011 at 25 weeks. There was no cause for his premature birth, other than he couldn't wait to meet us all. His birth was a happy time, but we also knew his body was not ready. As much as we hoped and prayed he would survive, his body could not fight for survival any longer. After 19 days, he quickly took a turn for the worse. His kidneys shut down and nothing seemed to help. On March 29th, we had to make the difficult decision to end his care. We had to watch our son lay motionless in our arms. The first time we were able to hold him, we heard his last breath. Please support me as I walk for the babies who lost their fight and those that are fighting now.
