My daughter was born 16 weeks early due to me developing severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. 1 in 4 mothers do not survive this condition, but I was one of the lucky ones. Lillian fought and survived for 6 weeks after her birth. She eventually lost her battle due to an infection that she was too small to fight. She would be turning 11 this year. March of Dimes provided us with resources during those 6 weeks to help us on our NICU/ preemie journey. They are constantly researching ways to help preemie babies like mine to have a chance to fight, and to save mothers who develop the medical conditions that I suffered from. Help support my 12th walk and the March of Dimes, so that they can help babies and families like ours.We walk and fundraise every year as a way to honor and remember our tiny angel. Her little sister and brother will join us in our goal. Though we did not have the outcome we prayed for, our mission is to help provide for further research so that other parents get to take their babies home.
