I have the incredible privilege as a healthcare provider of sharing the knowledge I have with patients daily. My goal is to improve outcomes for all moms and babies in whatever way I can, and I'm so excited to create positive change for all, especially those most at risk.
I walk specifically to share Mighty Quinn’s story, a family I was fortunate enough to labor as an L&D nurse at UAB Hospital and then become close with over the years. Quinn was born with Double Inlet Left Heart and HLHS, and had steroids before birth to ensure lung maturation while his mom battled her own unanticipated pregnancy-related health conditions.
