In 2020, my daughter, Anaya Grace, was born at just 29 weeks due to a sudden placenta abruption. It was the scariest moment of my life — one where everything felt uncertain, and all I could do was pray that God would carry us through. She spent 48 days in the NICU, fighting with a strength far beyond her tiny size.
During that time, I learned firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll that premature birth and maternal complications can bring. But I also witnessed the power of compassionate care, medical research, and the support systems that help families survive these moments.
March of Dimes is a cause that is deeply personal to me. Their mission to support healthier pregnancies, stronger babies, and families walking through the NICU journey is one that aligns with my heart and my purpose. Supporting them is my way of honoring Anaya’s story, uplifting other families, and giving back to the community that gave me my daughter.
The team name, 29th & Grace, represents the day my life changed forever; a day marked by fear, faith, and the overwhelming grace that brought my baby safely into this world. Walking under this name is a tribute to every family fighting their own NICU battle and a celebration of hope, strength, and miracles.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
