It started with a mission to wipe out premature birth so that no one would have to walk the path we did when our precious twins, Wally and Liz, were born at only 18 weeks with no chance of survival. Over the years, I've learned more and more about the atrocious care pregnant and post-partum women receive in this country. We are one of the wealthiest nations in the world, yet we rank 55th when it comes to maternal death rates, and if you rank the 10 wealthiest countries in the world, we come in dead last. Pun intended.
