I joined this movement because it is personal to my heart. Long before I was born, my dad entered this world too early; a tiny, fragile preemie whose beginning was filled with uncertainty. Though I did not witness those days myself, his story has always been part of mine. It is a reminder that every healthy life we see today may have started with extraordinary odds.
Knowing that someone I love began life fighting to grow has shaped how I see this cause. Premature birth is not just a statistic to me; it is part of my family’s story. It represents strength, resilience, and the incredible importance of quality care in those first critical moments. My dad’s journey is proof of what is possible when families and medical teams are supported.
Today, preterm birth and maternal mortality rates are still rising, and too many families face fear and uncertainty at the very start of life. Every baby deserves the chance my dad had. Every mother deserves safe, equitable care. That is why I am committed to raising funds for the March of Dimes; to support research, advocacy, and programs that give families hope when they need it most.
