This past September my daughters were born at 29 weeks and 6 days, after losing one of our girls to a genetic condition, we still had a long tough journey ahead of us with her sister.
Penny spent 86 days in the NICU, over that time she had 3 surgeries, countless tests, x-rays, and ultrasounds, she worked with amazing doctors and nurses that became like family to us. Thanks to the advancements that have been made in neonatal care over the past few decades, we were able to bring our baby girl home.
That said neonatal medicine is still newer and there is so much more research to be done and advancements to be made to help these tiny little miracles live happy and healthy lives. Because of this after leaving the NICU I was determined to find a way I could help and came across March of Dimes.
March of Dimes is focused on helping moms and babies have better outcomes through research, education and support of families during their NICU stays.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
