In July of 2023, my wife, Katrina, and I tragically lost our son, Callum Michael McSherry, just days before his due date. His death - due to a sudden cord accident - devastated us. In the weeks and months that followed, I learned how far too many other families in the U.S. have experienced similar loss and/or traumatic stays in the NICU following the birth of their children. In fact, the U.S. ranks among the worst developed nations when it comes to delivering positive outcomes for pregnant moms and babies. We can and must do better.
We are so honored to be the 2026 March for Babies Ambassador Family and be part of the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere. We are committed to the March of Dimes mission and would do anything to ensure more families to not experience the same pain and loss we did. We walk to honor Callum and all of the babies gone too soon.
