I fell in love with the March of Dimes mission after a devastating loss. Many of you know my cousin and best friend Lesa’s baby boy was born with a brain abnormality. He lost his battle at just 3 years old. The year he passed, almost 31 years ago, he was the March of Dimes Ambassador child in Duncan, Ok. My goal aligns with MOD mission that no mom should go through the tragedy of an unhealthy baby. 15 plus years ago I was given the opportunity to serve on the Oklahoma MOD State Board. This is a role that I take great pride in serving. Having two healthy grandbabies of my own fuels that passion even greater. Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I’m walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this and I need your help.
