MY STORY

Natalie Macon was born prematurely at 24 weeks gestation, weighing only 1lb, 7oz. She spent 93 days in the NICU and experienced a multitude of ups and downs along the way. She likely would have died, being born 16 weeks early, had it not been for the advancements in medical care made possible through March of Dimes research - funded by donations from all around the world. The fact that she is now thriving as an 14 year old, with little to no negative effects from her prematurity, is evidence of the profound impact that the March of Dimes has had on our family. We know other families are not as fortunate - and with 1 in 10 babies being born prematurely in the United States, it is the reason we give our time and money to the March of Dimes to aid in their mission to put an end to prematurity.
