March 4, 2025
Happy 2025! Thank you for visiting my page… Please take a look at my pictures above, they go back many years! I wanted to talk a little about how I started with the March of Dimes. In 1991 my firm Reed Smith Shaw & McClay had a walk team. My sister Gerri was pregnant with my nephew Marc. He was born in August of 1991. He was 10 pounds 10 ounces. A big boy. How could you not notice the little babies in the hospital and here is my nephew very healthy. I decided then to walk for the March of Dimes to help raise money and awareness and I haven't stopped since!
I have also been the Captain for 34 years of our Reed Smith Philadelphia office and we have raised over $219,000.00 in that time to help end preventable maternal health risks and death, ending preventable preterm birth and infant death and closing the health equity gap for all families.
This year, March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ has a bold new vision. More than just a walk, it’s our entry into making a visible difference in our community now and for generations to come.
By participating in March for Babies, we are lifting up communities for health equity, opening the door for all moms to have access to care and protecting the health of families by pushing for their rights. It’s no small feat—it’s a mother of a movement!
Thank you for sponsoring me in the past if you have and if not, please help this year!
I will be walking on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Navy yard and my goal this year is $6,000.00.
Please help me raise funds needed to help babies be born healthy! Thank you!
Annette
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
