I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start.
My son Thomas was born at 27 weeks. I was diagnosed with severe Preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, which threatened my life and his. We were able to deliver via emergency C-section and Thomas spent the first 90 days of his life in the NICU. He underwent heart surgery, a hernia repair, and lung disease. We were discharged on his 3-month birthday, on oxygen and was able to come off oxygen at 5 months old. The NICU was a long road, but the journey at home has continued. He just finished his first Doc Band helmet for his Plagiocephaly, and he is currently undergoing Physical Therapy for torticollis. We are so blessed and thankful for his care team and the doctors that continue to oversee his care. He perseveres through every challenge and is such a STRONG little guy.
