On April 19, 2017, I met my brother Jack for the first time. It was a big day because, after months of seeing only photos and videos of Jack, I was finally going to be in the same room as him. Jack was born prematurely at 27 weeks and needed a lot of medical care. He spent his first 80 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Virginia Hospital Center. It was a scary and challenging time for me and my family. When I finally met Jack, I remember all the doctors and nurses lining the entire length of the NICU hallway. They gave Jack a big clap out to celebrate him leaving the hospital and finally going home. It was so cool! It's been 8 years since that day. Jack has become an energetic, smart, and (occasionally) funny 9-year-old little brother. I believe in supporting babies like Jack and moms everywhere. The March of Dimes is a great organization that impacts so many families. That is why on Saturday, April 25th I will walk with my team, Team BILLieve, in the March for Babies in downtown DC at National's Park. I'm walking to honor my brother Jack and raise money for the March of Dimes (MoD). I hope you can support my team by joining us in the walk and/or donating.
Thank you in advance for supporting my team and this important cause.
