On April 14, 2005, my son Ethan was born prematurely at 24 weeks. He was just too little and his lungs weren't strong enough. Ten hours after entering this world, he left it. I was devastated. I miss my angel every day. I walk in memory of Ethan. I also walk to celebrate my daughter, Aubrey, and my son, Aidan. Aubrey was born prematurely at 36.5 weeks and today is a happy, healthy 22 year old. After being on bedrest in the hospital for 11 weeks of my pregnancy, Aidan was born at 34 weeks, spending his first 2.5 weeks of life in the NICU. Thanks to some of the medical advances and lifesaving techniques made possible, in part, from March of Dimes funding, Aidan is a happy, healthy, energetic 19 year old. Please consider making a secure donation to help support the March of Dimes in the fight against prematurity. Together we can help save babies!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
