Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many lifelong disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives. As you know, I work as an educator for the Special Care Nursery, helping to care for tiny babies who were born prematurely or needing extra care at birth. This cause is very near and dear to my heart. I am fortunate to have two healthy, full-term boys who will be joining Nick and I in the walk again.
