2017 Ambassadors Kionne and Kennedi Knight

Kiri Thomson and Adronne Knight were looking forward to the birth of their twin daughters, who were due on Christmas of 2009. Instead, Kionne and Kennedi Knight were born in early November, almost 8 weeks premature. Kionne and Kennedi spent their first precious weeks of life struggling in the NICU learning to breathe and feed. Both girls contracted RSV - due to their underdeveloped lungs- and had to fight for their lives during multiple hospital stays. It was a harrowing time for their parents. "We watched as they had to be resuscitated and placed on ventilators." said mom Kiri, "We thought both our girls would not survive." Now, the girls are happy healthy 2nd graders in Hartford who love to paint, sing, and cheerlead for Youth Football. They love giving back to the community too, so get ready to join "Team Kionne & Kennedi" at the 2017 Hartford March for Babies!
