Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Together, we can give families the health information and resources they need throughout their pregnancies, and fund groundbreaking research to transform lives. We’re also advocating for policies to keep moms and babies healthy and strong.

Because together with March of Dimes, each step forward leads to a healthy future for us all.

Aliyah

Having carried their first child to term, Kayla and Chris Schultz weren't concerned about premature birth when they found out they were expecting their second child, Aliyah. However at 30 weeks, problems with the placenta developed. When those worsened and with the baby at risk, Kayla had an emergency c-section at 34 weeks and daughter Aliyah was born weighing 5 pounds, 1 ounce. After two weeks in the NICU, Aliyah was finally able to join her family at home. Today, she is almost 3 years old and loves to laugh, play with her brother and her baby dolls, dance, and her stuffed animal called Puppy. She's a very caring girl, quick to console others, and has an amazing personality that will brighten up anyone's day.
