The Read Family
April and Ross had a long journey of infertility. You can imagine their joy when they found they were expecting. During April’s pregnancy, she developed severe pre-eclampsia, a pregnancy compilation characterized by high blood pressure and signs of damage to other organ systems. Fearing for the life of mom and baby, doctors performed an emergency C-section at 29 weeks gestation. Bradley was born two months premature and weighed only 2lbs, 3oz. The family spent a total of 70 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Rush University Medical Center. Today, Bradley is a happy and healthy toddler. Thank you to the Read family for being our 2019 Ambassador Family.
