Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

2019 Greater New Haven March for Babies, presented by Kennedy, Johnson, Schwab & Roberge, LLC.

March for Babies brings people together through events across the country and online while raising critical funds to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a yearly walk, March for Babies is a community. Families, friends, and co-workers can connect while raising critical funds for research, education, advocacy, and programs and services so moms and babies get the best possible start. Because together, each step forward leads to a healthy future for us all. March for Babies. Every step counts!

Team Luca

Carol & John Scaramozza's lives changed in May of 2017 when their son, Luca Grayson, arrived very early at 25 weeks & 4 days, weighing only 1lb, 12oz. He was so tiny, but the most precious baby boy they had ever seen. Seeing their little baby so helpless and fighting for his life, as their first night as parents, is something that they will never forget. Luca was on a ventilator because he couldn't breathe on his own. He also had a brain bleed & struggled to gain weight. For 123 days, Carol & John spent every single day with him at the NNICU at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, even if it meant multiple trips a day. They were surrounded by amazing doctors, nurses, family, and friends. Since Luca struggled to eat on his own, he needed surgery to get a feeding tube in order to be able to go home and grow. Today, Luca is off all of his meds and he’s eating 100% on his own. He is a funny boy who loves books, and is always smiling, giving hugs, and running all over the place. Carol & John are proud to represent March of Dimes as this year's New Haven March for Babies Ambassador Family, and they look forward to participating with their team and sharing their story at the walk in May.
