Important Update

Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

About March for Babies

Every step counts.

March for Babies is a campaign that connects millions of Americans united to improve the health of moms and babies in your community and across the country.

Together, we can give families the health information and resources they need throughout their pregnancies, and fund groundbreaking research to transform lives. We're also advocating for policies to keep moms and babies healthy and strong.

Because together with March of Dimes, each step forward leads to a healthy future for us all.

 

 

LOCATION
Greater Bay Area March for Babies will take place at:
PayPal Park in San Jose
1123 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110

PARKING
Parking is free and available in the ground parking lot (Audi Lot) adjacent to PayPal Park.


START TIME
Event opens at 7:30 AM
Opening Ceremony starts at 9:00 AM
March starts promptly at 9:45 AM

March for Babies will take place rain or shine! Please check back here, as we'll post notices should details change.

 

BEFORE THE WALK
Before the walk and during the opening ceremony, you’ll have a chance to see the mission of March of Dimes in action and connect with other individuals who are committed to raising funds and improving the lives of moms and babies everywhere.

FUN FOR THE KIDS
Your little superheroes can participate in the March for Babies Superhero Sprint, and other kids activities!

CASH AND CHECK DONATIONS
Be sure to log your cash and check donations on your Fundraising Dashboard. Simply login to your marchforbabies.org account, click on the "All donations" tab and “Add cash/check donations.” Once all offline donations are added, click “Print form” and mail to the address listed.

Ames family

After being told they could never conceive, Angela and Adam were pleasantly surprised to find out they were pregnant! Henry Ames was born premature at 34 weeks gestation. Angela was rushed into emergency surgery while Henry fought for his life in the NICU. Adam and Angela were told unfortunately more children were not possible. Angela would need another reconstructive procedure, but that was to repair and not for fertility. Shockingly however, Maxton was born at 34 weeks a year after his big brother. Miraculously avoiding a NICU stay. The family attributes much of their boy’s physical strengths to their connection to the March of Dimes.  Like their mother, Henry and Maxton both show incredible strength, resilience and determination. They are thriving high schoolers who enjoy playing football, basketball and raising funds for the March of Dimes!
