Prior to my having my daughter I walked and raised money because it was a good cause and also it was a program that my chapter participated in. In 2014, my daughter was born two months early and spent over two months in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). During those two months, the George Washington University Hospital NICU team took great care of my daughter and making sure that she gained weight and was healthy to come home in November. I am positive that the neonatal and premature baby medical breakthroughs that were funded by the money raised by the March of Dimes had a direct impact on the capabilities of the NICU team. This is why I now continue to raise money and walk every year and also wear my purple March for Babies shirt everywhere I go :-). If you can, please support my walk. Every little bit counts and it's also tax deductible.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
