Premature birth affects about 450,000 babies here in the United States. At the UH College of Nursing, this is an issue close to our hearts. We have faculty and alumni who work in Mother-Baby units, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, and Pediatric clinics where the effects of premature birth--and health disparities in receiving quality prenatal care--are all too visible. We’re walking on April 24 to raise awareness and funds to give moms better access to prenatal and NICU care. You can help by making a secure donation to our team page, donating to individual members of our team, or by joining our team to walk on April 24. Let's work together to give more babies the strongest start possible!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
