The Brothers of Xi Alpha Lambda leads the way in supporting the March of Dimes and has been awarded for repeatedly being one of the top fundraisers in the DMV. With your help, we can be the top fundraiser in the nation to better support programs that service healthy mothers and healthy babies.
Black women die at a rate of three to four times that of white women in this country and
Black babies are still more than twice as likely to die before their first birthday.
1 out of 10 babies are born premature. Family and friends, we need your support so that we can support them. Everyone has either been directly affected or indirectly affected by someone who has dealt with premature birth and we are not only here to help support the child but also the mother. The preterm birth rate has worsened over the past 3 years and we NEED this support to help solve this problem.
In the state of Virginia, the premature birth rate report card sits at a C. We can and we WILL do better to ensure that children and parents get the support they need.
