Our family not only marches for babies but has also walked a challenging journey. Please support our effort to strengthen families and advocate for healthier lives. Join us on May 4th or virtually to back this incredible cause!
Our story began with expectations shattered by premature births. Married in 2014, we eagerly anticipated starting a family. When pregnancy came, excitement blended with worry. In July 2015, at 26 weeks, unexpected complications arose. Rushing to Kapiolani for NICU support, we faced an indefinite hospital stay. Plans shattered, we adapted to the unknown, taking it one day at a time.
After 2 weeks, labor was induced at 28 weeks. Eliana Jean, born at 2 lbs, faced early challenges but triumphed. Our journey continued with a second pregnancy, marked by complications but met with readiness. In July 2018, at 32 weeks, Lauren Anne arrived. Both girls spent time in the NICU, inspiring us to join March of Dimes gatherings for support.
Our experience, while challenging, taught us resilience and the importance of community. We're grateful for our strong daughters and committed to supporting initiatives like March of Dimes, ensuring hope and resources for families facing similar journeys.
With gratitude, Lambert and Jeannie
