For the 17th year in a row, Team Lillie will once again support the March of Dimes through the March for Babies. We've raised more than $17,000 over the years and we look forward to participating again on April 21st. This year, however, we will walk in memory of a very special NICU nurse, Cathy Frick. Sadly, Cathy lost her battle with cancer at the close of 2023. She was an incredible human and we were blessed to have her alongside us during Lillie's journey in the NICU.
At 27 weeks, Lillie required many medical interventions. Her first days were spent on a ventilator and she spent nearly two months reliant on a feeding tube. Nurse Cathy was with us each step of the way, caring for us, teaching us, and making us laugh. When Lillie graduated from the NICU, Cathy celebrated with us and she followed Lillie's progress over the years.
On April 21st, we will remember Cathy as we walk to support the March of Dimes, an organization whose research led to medical advances that saved Lillie’s life and so many others.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
