I march for my little warrior, Wyatt. He surprised us all by deciding to make his debut at just 32 weeks and 6 days. Weighing in at only 3 pounds 12 ounces, he came out, thankfully, breathing on his own thanks to the help of a steroid shot given a week before his birth. Shortly after Wyatt was born we learned that he needed surgery and had to be transferred to a different hospital immediately. On just his second day of life Wyatt underwent surgery for Tracheoesophageal fistula, connecting his esophagus to his stomach.
Wyatt spent 35 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mount Sinai where he received the absolutely best care we ever could have imagined. We are eternally grateful to the nurses and doctors that helped our little warrior learn to be baby and come home to us. We march so that ALL babies born early can come home to their families, just like our little man did.
Please help me fight for healthy moms and strong babies. Our team stands with March of Dimes to fight for the health of all moms and babies. Families in our community and across the country are touched by the fundraising we do, and we won’t stop until we reach our goal of building a better future for us all. We’re proud to help provide resources and programs to educate and empower moms so every baby can have the best possible start. But we need you on our team. Together we can encourage more friends, family and supporters to join us to raise critical funds to tackle the biggest health threats facing moms and babies.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
