Our baby girl Prisha left a lasting impression on our hearts and we would like to help spread her memory by helping famlies and babies in need. Our team, Walk with Prisha is part of the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
Tell us about Prisha. Our daughter Prisha Sylvia Alreja was born on 1/6/24 at WakeMed hospital in Raleigh, NC. She was a preemie at 27 weeks and 2 days, who fought against all odds and took birth in this world. With her arriving 3 months early, we were scared for her health. However, she proved us wrong from the beginning by being able to breathe well and keeping her vitals high. She was the sweetest little girl who was mighty but feisty. She would definitely let us and the nurses know when she didn’t like something by kicking and grabbing on to things. She was loved and adored by everyone at the NICU but especially her primary nurse Miss Natalie. Miss Natalie loved putting different color bows on her beanie which Prisha loved. We loved all the time we spent holding her and by her bedside. This fundraiser is in honor of our daughter who we lost on day 16 due to Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC). We believe by raising money for the March of Dimes we can also support research to find more ways to prevent and treat diseases like Necrotizing enterocolitis.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, we’re committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. And you can help us.
Please visit our fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
