After struggling with infertility for almost 2 years to give our son a sibling, we finally successfully got pregnant after a multiple IUI treatments. WITH TWINS! We were over the moon! Twins are high risk after infertility treatments and then around 13 weeks we discovered placenta previa and things became a little more high risk. I ended up on bed rest and in the hospital at 21 weeks praying to make it to “viability” (23 weeks) which is when the babies would be “old enough” gestationally to survive outside my body. However due to a scary and painful placental abruption, the girls were born at 21.5 weeks being too small to survive. Piper was born alive but too tiny to survive and Harper was born still 3 hours later. Both girls went to heaven that same day on May 7, 2019 and our world has been forever changed since.
Our hope is that by helping this organization, less families will have to endure such heart break from the loss of their baby(ies). Families in our community and across the country are being touched by the fundraising we do, and we won’t stop until we reach our goal of building a better future for us all. We’re proud to help provide resources and programs to educate and empower moms so every baby can have the best possible start. But we cannot do it alone, we need you on our team! Together we can encourage more friends, family and supporters to join us to raise critical funds to tackle the biggest health threats facing moms and babies. Who is with us?
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
