Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. partnership with the March of Dimes is a major fraternity initiative under the International Program of Social Action. Phi Beta Sigma’s partnership with the March of Dimes is entitled “Building Stronger Fathers.” The March of Dimes is the very first partnership of Phi Beta Sigma. This embodies the importance the fraternity places on the mission of the March of Dimes.
Through Building Stronger Fathers, Phi Beta Sigma facilitates the development of educational programs to include teenage pregnancy prevention, health lifestyles, prematurity awareness and other health information that helps the male and the family, improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Building Stronger Fathers has three components: 1. Promoting Fatherhood through various educational programming, 2. Raising Funds for March for Babies to prevent birth defects and premature birth, and 3. Mentoring our youth.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
