We are participating in the March for Babies walk again to honor our sweet boy Jackson Rhys Battista. We were fortunate to be able to spend 18 amazing days with him before losing him unexpectedly to neonatal sepsis. Although common in babies, we did not have previous knowledge of this and would have never expected it to happen to our child. We went to the ER for labored breathing thinking he just needed some oxygen similar to when he was born and spent a couple days in the NICU. I never in a million years expected to walk out of that hospital without our little boy. We want to raise awareness and continue to honor Jackson's life through events like these. We miss him every second of every day.
I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
