This wlll be Team Will Power's 21st consecutive year raising money for the March of Dimes in honor of our son, William, who was born nearly 17 weeks early, weighing a mere 1.7 pounds. The 4 months William spent in the hospital were a scary and stressful time, but we were extremely fortunate to have a very positive outcome. 20-year-old William is now a junior at Virginia Tech studying mechanical engineering. You would never guess he was so premature!
Not every family is as lucky as we were. Every year, about 450,000 babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in the March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives. Thank you for your continued support! We truly appreciate every person who has walked with us, raises money on behalf of our team, or donates to one of the members of our team.
