Alpha Phi Alpha has been a national partner of The March of Dimes since 1980 when the fraternity began implementing Project Alpha. Designed to provide young men with current and accurate information about teen pregnancy prevention, Project Alpha consists of a series of workshops and informational sessions conducted by brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and experts from the community. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. chapters all across the country worked with their local March of Dimes to implement Project Alpha programs.
In the last 5 years, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brothers have raised over $1 million for the March of Dimes. Over the past 5 years the brothers of the Omicron Iota Lambda Chapter have raised over $10,000 to support March of Dimes in its mission to improve the health of babies. This year we hope to raise more than last year and meet this year's goal of $3000. If you can't walk with us, please help by donating to our team. You can do so right on this page. Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
