This year, there will be a virtual event to celebrate the March for Babies Walk. May 15, 2021 is the day set aside for everyone to walk at home.
This year the theme for the walk is March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement. We are walking to support ALL moms of every different type of background to receive equal care. The March of Dimes also wants to help moms through the challenges of being pregnant and giving birth during Covid.
I was born about a month early, and so was my sister. Both of her boys were born about a month early, and so was Sara. Then Carson was born almost 3 months early. Carson was born 11 1/2 weeks early, and spent 72 days in the NICU/pediatrics area. So this is a cause that is near and dear to our family. Please help us prevent premature births!
The kids are doing great now. Sara is in 9th grade and enjoys drawing, writing, art club, and was in the ensemble of High School Musical 2. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and her cats, Gidget and Tinsel.
Carson is in 6th grade. He is in football, basketball, and baseball. He is always a good friend to everyone, and hopes to be a video game streamer in the future.
We thank the March of Dimes for how well they are doing now. We hope that the March of Dimes can use the money they raise to help prevent premature births, and to help those babies that are born too early.
This is the 12th year that we will be walking. For the last 2 years, we were able to raise $1,000. Our goal is to reach $1,000 again this year.
Since we won't actually be walking this year, it would be great if you could take part in the virtual event with us by walking at home on May 15. If you want to raise donations from your friends and family, you can sign up on our web page and then share your web page with others so they can support our team also.
If you would like to make a donation, that would be great! Any amount is greatly appreciated!
Love, Brad, Jenny, Sara, and Carson
