Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, is proud to partner with March of Dimes as we strive to improve maternal and child health. As an organization comprised primarily of African American women, we recognize the glaring maternal health disparities that exist in our communities compared to that of our counterparts. That is why I am counting on our more than 900 hundred chapters to support March of Dimes and the significant work they are doing to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care.
We must join with March of Dimes to fight for the health of all moms and babies. Many of our members experience preterm birth, and unfortunately, maternal mortality. By supporting March of Dimes, we are also supporting our sisterhood by lifting fellow sorors when they need it most. As Deltas, we use the the strength of our collective voice to advocate for the causes impacting the communities where we live and serve. March of Dimes does the same by advocating for policies that prioritize health, finds solutions for the most critical health threats, and spreads education for both moms and health professionals. Service is at the heart of Delta Sigma Theta, so I’m urging you all to do what you can to help give babies and their families the best possible start!
