My husband Tim and I, along with our two boys, loved our Josie Grey long before she ever entered this world. From the moment we knew she was coming, she brought so much excitement, meaning, and purpose into our family. She was our little girl - wanted, cherished, and already such a big part of our lives.
During pregnancy, we faced unexpected and severe complications, including rare and complex conditions that affected both Josie and me. Despite everything, she continued to fight in ways that showed just how strong and resilient she already was. Her heartbeat remained strong, and we held onto every bit of hope we could.
Josie was delivered surrounded by a team ready to help her, and by parents who loved her more than words could ever explain. Though her time with us was far too short, she made an impact that will last forever.
She has changed us. She has deepened our love, our perspective, and our purpose.
We are sharing Josie’s story through March of Dimes because no family should have to face the unknowns of complicated pregnancies or the heartbreak of losing a baby without support, research, and hope. Josie’s life - no matter how brief - matters. And through her, we hope to help bring awareness, funding, and change for other families.
She will always be our daughter.
She will always be their sister.
She will always be part of us.
And she will always be remembered.
