Many of you know I (Marina's mom) work for the March of Dimes as the NICU Family Support Specialist. What you may not know is the reason I sought out this job. Our first two pregnancies were fairly normal and resulted in two beautiful children (Jordan & Alexa) who were the "normal" weight and length for full term babies. When we found out we were pregnant with our third child, we expected things to go just as the other times. Well, they didn't. Marina came at 30 weeks by way of emergency C-section and had to go the the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 3 weeks. One of the hardest things we have ever done is leave that hospital without our child. That is why our family walks now. One day we hope no mom or dad (or brother or sister)has to go through leaving the hospital without their baby to go home and wonder if they will ever come home. Please help us by donating or joining our team.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
