Important Update
Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!
Make change happen for families! March for Babies connects you with friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of moms and babies in your community and across the country. Because together with March of Dimes, each step forward leads to a healthy future for us all.

At 31 weeks and 4 days into an otherwise normal pregnancy, something didn’t feel right for Alysia. She called her doctor’s office, and the nurse told her to come in right away, reminding her that a mother’s intuition should never be ignored. Shortly after arriving, her doctor confirmed that her water had begun leaking and that she needed to go straight to the hospital. Early the next morning, her son Jack was born at 31 weeks and 5 days, weighing just 3 lb. 4 oz. Her and her husband Kevin later learned the umbilical cord had been wrapped around Jack's neck and tied in a knot, cutting off the nutrients he needed. Jack spent 26 days in the NICU receiving life-saving care, including treatments made possible through March of Dimes research. Thanks to the incredible NICU team who cared for him, their tiny fighter grew stronger every day. Today, Jack is a healthy, energetic nine-year-old who loves sports and dreams of competing on American Ninja Warrior. Their story is just one of many.
March for Babies brings people together through events across the country and online while raising critical funds to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a yearly walk, March for Babies is a community. Families, friends, and co-workers can connect while raising critical funds for research, education, advocacy, and programs and services so moms and babies get the best possible start. Because together, each step forward leads to a healthy future for us all. March for Babies. Every step counts!
