Important Update

Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Team captains can enter as cash and mark "received" any money raised through promotions, such as bake sales and casual days and any sponsorship money paid to the March of Dimes, on their team's online form. Our ambassador

2016 Pueblo Ambassador

On New Year’s Eve, 2001, Reese and his twin brother Evan were born sixteen weeks to soon. At birth, Evan weighed 1 pound and 13 ounces. Reese weighed 1 pound and 5.5 ounces. Both Evan and Reese initially received artificial lung surfactant treatments that allowed them to breathe with the help of a ventilator. Without this treatment, which was researched and developed by the March of Dimes, both of our children would have died shortly after they were born. Due to a prolapsed umbilical cord just before birth, Evan suffered multiple strokes over the 18 hours that followed. He died on New Year’s day. Reese spent the next 120 days in NICU while we watched, waited, hoped, and prayed. Reese did finally get to come home – two weeks after his original due date. In 2004, Reese welcomed a brother, Julian. Thanks to preterm labor prevention research and treatments made possible by the March of Dimes, Julian was born full term and healthy. Reese is now 15. He has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism. He is the most resilient and loving boy we’ve ever known. That’s why he is known to all his family, friends, and fans – as Super Reesie.
