Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

We're getting ready to walk in March for Babies! It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. There'll be family teams, company teams and people walking with friends - it's a great feeling knowing we're all helping real families. Join our event and walk with us to raise money for babies right here in our community!

Maria Lucinda Weimert

2017 Ambassador Maria Lucinda Weimert Maria was born at 24 weeks gestation, weighing 1 lb. and 9 oz. In her 6.5 month stay in the NICU, she had a combination of growth and development along with setbacks and life threatening illnesses. Maria received surfactant for lung development, along with 27 blood transfusions and several surgeries. After a lengthy stay in the hospital, Maria joined her family at home in late summer of 2011. She is now a healthy 5 year old, enjoying kindergarten. Maria's family has participated in several March of Dimes Walks and are forever grateful for all the families and babies and medical professionals and charitable donors who have paved the way for micro-preemies like Maria to survive and thrive!
