This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

THE MONEY YOU RAISE MAKES AN IMPACT

During the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, moms and babies can't wait. Delivery can't wait.

By joining March for Babies Step Up! you are helping moms and babies across the country, during a time when it's needed most. Thanks to you we are adding new programs and resources to help families during the covid-19 crisis and beyond.

Your fundraising supports:

  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks
  • and so much more!

Alyssa Grace Summey

The day Alyssa was born was the happiest and scariest day of my life. Alyssa was born at 26 weeks gestation due to preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction. She weighed 13 ounces and measured at 9 ½ inches. With so many uncertainties, I have never been more petrified of losing someone. However I’ve never seen such fight and determination in a tiny human no bigger than a soda can. I never knew much about prematurity until Alyssa was born. Every day has been an uphill battle and we have had to face many hurdles with lots of uncertainties. I am grateful for organizations like March of Dimes for their unfailing commitment to families and research to give even the tiniest of babies, under a pound like Alyssa, a fighting chance. Not only a fighting chance for survival, but a chance at life as well. ~ Haley Summey, Ambassador Mom
