11 years ago Jastin and I met prematurity face to face (and learned a new sense of ultimate love and undying hate at the very same time). 10 years ago, I made a vow to do my part in ending prematurity. It's been nearly 8 years since we took part in the first march for babies. And soon we do it again! On Saturday, May 18th at 9am in Queeny Park we will once again do our part to help save millions of babies lives. Millions. Let's see if we can get even more walkers this year than we ever have! I know many, many of you (still some I have never even met) helped us reach and then smash our goal last year making Adali's Angels one of the top fundraising teams in Missouri last year and for that I will forever be indebted to you. I know that each year we walk, it will be more difficult to reach our goal. Adali is doing well now so why do we need to keep doing this? But sadly too many mothers still have to wake up every morning alone in their bed with no baby by their side to cuddle, nervous to walk into a hospital each day wondering how their baby faired the night before...and that is why I ask for your help again. Do I at least get points for persistence? Like I said last year, I warned you. I will not give up. I will continue to do what I can for the babies. They need a chance. I've joined the March for Babies because the March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation. The money we raise for March for Babies will help: - support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects -educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby - provide comfort and information to families with a newborn in intensive care - push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children Please help by donating today! It's easy, safe and secure - just click to make your donation. With your help, one day all babies will be born healthy.
