My daughters were born 9.5 weeks early, suffering from a syndrome that impacts identical twins - Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, TTTS. Kathryn would only live for 2 days, leaving a forever hole in our hearts. Charis, a whopping 1lb 10 oz, fought valiantly to beat the odds. She spent 12 weeks in the NICU, where we learned and saw how important funding for Neonatal Intensive Care is. Not just for equipment, but for training and especially for research. We are proud to continue to support the March of Dimes, as we are blessed to reap the benefits of the work that has been done for premature babies. We get to see it every day as we watch our little Charis grow.
Two babies die every hour in the U.S. And about every 12 hours a woman dies as a result of complications from pregnancy.
It's not fine. That's why we March for Babies.
We march to end maternal death. We march for babies born too soon. We march for babies we have lost. We march for moms-to-be. And we march for health equity.
Join the fight for healthy moms and strong babies, and make a difference for families everywhere!
