Why I walk

Our oldest son Jacob asked if we could walk for March for Babies this year. We've not walked in many years. We've had a lot of medical issues ongoing in our family to distract us from helping raise money for a cure for prematurity, birth defects, and infant mortality. My life has been impacted many times by prematurity with our two sons and our four nieces and nephews. We have directly been impacted by birth defects. We have had to comfort friends whose babies died too soon. Research requires funding and I hope that this little bit of money I raise will help fund a cure for prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality. It's personal to us. Prematurity and birth defects in our family have had a significant impact on our lives. Some days aren't easy. Please consider donating to the March of Dimes. I understand though if there is a charity near and dear to your heart that you would prefer your donations to go to. I get it. There are so many needs in this world that need funding. Im walking again because our son asked us to and it matters to him.

Your gift matters

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
