Why I walk

Five For Paris! The challenge is on for the next 48 hours Team Paris is pushing to raise as many $5 donations as possible. Why just $5 because without these 5 words Patience, Ambition, Resilience, Intuition, and Support I would not be the woman I am today. If you would like to donate more that is appreciated but if you only can donate less that is appreciated just the same. The amount you give does not matter, what matters is that your heart desires to give.  Many do not know details of my losses. I had a family member tell me that God probably took my children away because he knew I would be a horrible mother anyway. Despite those words was very hurtful and hateful to say to any parent who is grieving a loss. I use that miserable person negative words to fuel the fire in me to comfort and support other parents and to help prevent them from having to go through the same thing I sadly have to endure every single day.

On Dec. 7, 2013 I was on the way to the hospital at that time I was pregnant and I was sadly losing my baby. When I was almost at the hospital I was in a car accident. I was not hurt just extremely frighten and concern about my child. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the hospital I was informed that it was too late and there was no heartbeat anymore. At that moment I was not sure if it was even possible to even breath again myself. My birthday was the very next day and it was filled with tears and pain. When Dec. 9th came I was even more devastated it was the day I was suppose to be getting my first ultrasound. As the days went by I had a lot of anxiety, and i was barely eating or sleeping. I also started having really bad headaches and migraines. My physician diagnose me with severe depression. I was blessed with my second pregnancy and I was overjoyed. But tragedy struck once again on Feb 6, 2015 the day before my sister birthday and I unfortunately lost my second child. I do not cry everyday anymore but I do have silent tears. So instead of mourning my lost, I have chosen to celebrate it and encourage others by informing them that no matter what battle you are facing it is never to big that you can not overcome it. I not only walk for my children but I walk for all babies. The reason I choose March For Babies is because they help mothers have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. Unfortunately I was not able to have a full term pregnancy but I would like to do all I can to prevent other women from having to endure the pain and loss I feel everyday. I have come so far and am doing much better and I have truly learned there is life after tragedy you just got to have faith that you will get through it. I would love to have you apart of my support system If you can not participate in the walk, you can make a donation to my amazing team. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
