Why I walk

Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. I’m walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.

I am sure by now you have heard Mason's journey through his life. If you haven't, here is a brief overview. Mason came into this world with no warning at 26 weeks. He survived a tough 111 day NICU stay and 3 surgeries. He was transferred from Virtua to CHOP, then back to Virtua and then back to CHOP where he was discharged from. He had E. Coli Sepsis, Grade 3 brain bleeds, hydrocephalus, a blood clot, and ROP to name a few. He was and is our little fighter. We walk for Mason, and to raise awareness of prematurity because until it happened to me, I knew nothing about it.

Your gift matters

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
