Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. I’m walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.
As a child I, Samit Guha, was born with multiple birth defects: scoliosis, deformed left arm, no thumbs and a deformed left ear. Having gone through the highs and lows of life, coming out the other end a confident, successful man, I want to do something to give back to others who are not as fortunate as I. I’ve been blessed to have strong friends and family to support me along the way.
Because of the way I looked people assumed that I would not be productive and mentally slow. So I took that as chip on my shoulder and drove my self to honor classes is school, played the piano, tennis plus soccer on the high school team and I taught tennis to the youth. Even now I am constantly pushing myself to prove that I am better than normal.
If I am able to do these things I want to be an example and help the youth to not give up or just go with the flow…you can always do better
On my personnel page theGuha.com you can follow my weekly blogs as well friends who have children born with birth defects stories.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
