We created this team in honor of our very special micropreemie twins, Austin and Garrett, who were born 4 months early at 25 weeks gestation. They spent 136 and 538 days in the NICU/PICU each and what a road it was. During that time they went through so much including PDA ligation surgeries, many issues with ventilation, chest tubes for pneumothoraxs, etc. Austin especially had a difficult journey due to his severe lung disease from ruptured membrane at 21 weeks, 5 days as well as his Hepatoblastoma diagnosis right before he turned 1. We hope to raise money to help families like us in the future. For research to come up with new ways and new technology to help premature babies and to save the ones who are especially ill (like little Austin) and understand strategies that will work best for babies like him. Thank you so much for all your continued love, support, and prayers - Julie and Jeff
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
