Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today. Here at HCA Houston Conroe we care for over 300 babies a year born from a premature birth. We see first hand how being born premature can lead to life long challenges. We have seen major advances in the care of premature babies through the work of the March of Dimes. March of Dimes has been instrumental in education on the signs and symptoms of premature labor and the development of many treatments to help reduce complications for the premature baby.
