Eisley's Team

We joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.

In March 2022, our sweet little Eisley was born at 33 weeks due to sudden, severe preeclampsia. I had no 'risk factors' and things went from 'normal' to serious in a few short hours.

Thanks to March of Dimes research and funding, we received interventions and care that very likely changed the outcome of her early birth, and she has thrived since day one - she even took her first solo steps the day of our first March for Babies in 2023. Watching her fight and grow from a tiny 3lbs 6oz preemie to a vibrant, healthy toddler has been the greatest adventure.

Preterm birth is one of the leading causes of infant death in the U.S. and globally. According to the March of Dimes Report Card, in 2022 over 380,000 babies were born before 37 weeks - that's 10.4% of all live births. Maternal mortality has increased to dangerous levels for all women, primarily due to cardiovascular conditions and hypertensive disorders. Similar to infant health, the risk of maternal death and morbidity is even higher for mothers from marginalized groups who face discrimination, racism, and deep inequities in the healthcare system. Help me take action to bring health equity and better access to care for every family, by raising funds to ensure every family gets the best possible start.
