We walk for Catherine!!
Catherine Marie was born at 24weeks and 3days weighing 635grams (1lb 6.4oz), due to what doctors believe to be a spontaneous ruptured membrane. Catherine spent 88 days in the NICU with an amazing team. The day she was born her weight dropped down to 1lb 2oz. During her NICU journey Catherine learned how to breathe on her own, how to regulate her temperature and how to eat. She spent 6 days under a phototherapy light, 22 days on a ventilator, 62 days in an incubator, 64 days wiith respiratory support, and 77 days with a feeding tube.
Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. We are walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help us reach our goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.
Two babies die every hour in the U.S. And about every 12 hours a woman dies as a result of complications from pregnancy.
It's not fine. That's why we March for Babies.
We march to end maternal death. We march for babies born too soon. We march for babies we have lost. We march for moms-to-be. And we march for health equity.
Join the fight for healthy moms and strong babies, and make a difference for families everywhere!
